is a love story … LITERALLY … and it all began

roughly 26 ago

on a cold, blustery night in Chicago … when I met a guy … and my life changed forever

fast forward

to a year later … on 12.19.1998 … when we got married

and yep … you guessed it

on another cold, blustery night in Chicago …

AND YES … I realize this sounds ALOT like a ROM COM script

I took this picture while in London … how could I NOT????

the thrill of the hunt

if it was cool … fun … weird … old … one of kind …

it was coming home with me

let’s be honest

they don’t make stuff the way they used to … with real wood … solid craftmanship … capable of standing the test of time

and we all know that all the REALLY GOOD STUFF is hiding at the barn sales … estate sales … vintage shops PLUS … who doesn’t love finding a good deal?

as my personal style morphed … so did the items I wanted to display

so i started selling online

Then one day - not unlike any of the others … while driving down an alley I noticed some folks with their garage door opened

and there it was

the piece

it was so cool …

and needed so much work

I couldn’t help myself … I had to have it

the next thing I know … I offered to buy the entire estate

and so began my next chapter

if a piece was solid … and had good bones

I vowed to give it some good ‘ol fashioned lovin’ and turn it into an heirloom piece

I fixed any damage … customized with paint or stain … added unique hardware and accessories … and delivered it to its new home where it could continue to share its story for years to come
